Tender description
The Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) is Ireland’s independent energy and water regulator. The CER was established in 1999 and now has a wide range of economic, customer protection and safety responsibilities in energy. The CER is also the regulator of Ireland’s public water and wastewater system. The CER currently wishes to engage specialist economic regulatory consultancy support for The Energy Networks Division. In summary, the Services comprise of specialist economic regulatory consultancy support for The Energy Networks Division to assist with developing and implementing policy relating to the Irish gas and electricity sectors. The purpose of this role is to add value through access to specialist economic and regulatory expertise on a variety of issues related to the CER’s functions. A detailed specification of requirements is set out in Appendix 1 of the Request for Tender document available to download from www.etenders.gov.ie
