(NU/1447) - Supply of Fitness Equipment for the CPRS Sports Centre Refurbishment

Tender description

The scope of the Contract is to appoint a Supplier who will supply and install fitness equipment for the Sports Centre studios / fitness rooms, consisting of: i. working closely and attending meetings with the Project Team for the Sports Centre refurbishment which will include representatives from the following; Newcastle University Sport, Estates Department, Architects, Contractors and Engineers to finalise the gym layout and ensure that all services and provision work for the equipment layout and fit within the wider project plan for the sports extension. ii. surveying the site before fabrication or purchase of any equipment and fittings to ensure equipment and fittings will fit. iii. providing a general arrangement drawing and all necessary information, including services and setting out details, in order for ESS / the Main Works Contractor to complete their Works. iv. relocation and set-up of existing equipment to provide a temporary pop-up gym (Lot 1 only). v. the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of the fitness equipment as detailed in Section 3. vi. removing all waste packaging and re-use/recycle where possible, and if not possible to re-use/recycle dispose of in method that most reduces negative environmental impact. vii. fully comprehensive warranty. viii. maintenance and after sales support. ix. all training necessary for safe and reliable operation of the equipment. This should include sufficient familiarisation on-site to enable routine use of the equipment to start immediately on completion of installation. x. providing a complete set of operating and maintenance documents. The tender is split into two Lots as follows: Lot 1 – Cardio Fitness Equipment Lot 2 - Strength and Conditioning Equipment and Suppliers are able to bid for single Lots or for both Lots.
