2107/410/MY/AMRC/18 Metal AM 3D printer suite based on FDM/FFF process technology The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a Metal AM 3D printer suite based on FDM/FFF process technology on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Castings Group at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire. Scope of Requirement The Design and Prototyping Group (DPG) house a variety of 3D printing equipment across both polymer and metal platforms. Backed by AM use data, the DPG has identified the requirement for a metal AM system that is easily accessible, capable of processing a range of differing metallic compounds from a single solid feed stock, and is suited for use in an open work environment requiring limited additional health and safety considerations.
