Sefton Council are looking for a suitable supplier to supply and install one piece recycled rubber speed cushions in red, at two sites within Sefton. The first site is located in Stanley Road & Linacre Road, Bootle and comprises 17 separate locations for either a set of two or three speed cushions to be installed. This site is approx. 1.2km in length and is mainly a shopping area with small retail shops. There are a number of bus stops located along this route and the traffic management required for the installation of the speed cushions will probably require two traffic signals and temporary relocation of the bus stops. The second site is located in Orrell Road and Watts Lane, Bootle and comprises 20 separate locations for either a set of two or three speed cushions to be installed. This site is approx. 1.4km in length and is mainly a residential area with private driveways. Again there are a number of bus stops located along this route and the traffic management required for the installation of the speed cushions will probably require two traffic signals and temporary relocation of the bus stops. The Bill of Quantities for these two schemes includes a separate item for traffic management and the supplier should submit their traffic management proposals and an outline programme for the works in returning their bid.
