Tender description
TfL wish to conduct early market engagement with prospective suppliers in order to understand market appetiteand ability for this requirement. TfL aim to carry out this early market engagement in February 2019 – to registerinterest for this please email: VincentCariaga@tfl.gov.uk / JamesCreaney@tfl.gov.uk This advertisement is issued solely for the purposes of the market engagement. Any possible futureprocurement of any services, supplies or works by TfL would be carried out strictly in accordance with anyrelevant obligations under the Utilities Contract Regulations 2016. ________________ TfL requires an Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) product for retrofit to a portion of the London bus fleet from2019- onwards. The ISA product must: - be able to provide mandatory intervening ISA which limits the speed through restriction of the acceleration ofthe bus, it must not allow any activation or deactivation by the driver - be able to limit speeds from 5mph - provide an indication of whether the product is working or not to the driver - be able to use the London Digital Speed Limit Map as the basis for reading the speed limit (GPS enabled) - be able to be updated via wifi at the bus garage or a direct software update which can be uploaded by busoperators - be production ready and viable for immediate retrofit on a variety of different bus models and engine typesfound in London (including ADL, Wright Bus, Volvo, Optare and Mercedes) TfL prefer no ongoing subscription fees to be required.
