Provision of Dementia Development and Support Services that work alongside/as part of the preferred care pathway, meets Kingston's objectives because it will: enable vulnerable adults to achieve independent lives, potentially living longer in their home and community (rather than in a care home environment) where applicable support people to manage their own needs support hospital discharge and minimise the length of hospital stays and consequential cost to the NHS.
