ESPH AB Appointment of a Landscape Consultant (ESPH261a)

Tender description

Wealden District Council are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced consultant for the review the Councils current landscape maintenance contracts and subsequent procurements of new contracts. In 2012 the Council outsourced their landscape maintenance and tree services contracts supported by a number of other arrangements. These contracts are nearing renewal and, in addition, the recent acquisitions the Council have made mean that the present arrangements are no longer suitable for the current land portfolio. In addition the present arrangements are focussed on maintenance operations and need re-focussing to consider environmental and ecological issues. This project is split into two phases as follows: 1 - Review our current contractual arrangements, land and property holdings, report on options available to maintain them and make recommendations to the Council. Review present Landscape Management Plans held by the Council, report on plans held and areas omitted and make recommendations to the Council what is required to provide an acceptable 'portfolio' of Landscape and Ecological Management Plans. Review our current contract management arrangements, report on options available and make recommendations to the Council 2 - Assist in the tendering of new contracts in line with the specification. This is a retender of ESPH261. The specification has been reviewed and additional supporting information is now provided.
