Appointment of an Engagement Consultant to Facilitate Engagement with Disenfranchised Communities to Shape the LCR Spatial Development Strategy and the Town Centre Fund

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (“LCRCA”) Devolution Deal requires the LCRCA to produce a City Region Spatial Development Strategy (SDS). In addition to this the Combined Authority has launched a Town Centre Fund. Both of these require targeted engagement with local communities that have become disenfranchised / not yet reached in terms of consultation on strategic documents / policies / funding streams. In order to ensure that these communities have the ability to have an input it is essential that an engagement mechanism is created to consult them directly. In addition the Combined Authority wishes to promote a competition aimed at Year 5 and 6 school children to “Design Their House of the Future”. This requires specialised engagement and facilitation with teachers and school children, which requires none standard skill sets.
