Tender description

Merseytravel wishes to procure up to 2 new passenger ferry vessels as part of our long term strategy to ensure the Mersey Ferries service is available for future generations to enjoy. Our procurement requirements currently assume we will acquire one vessel, but we may choose to procure 2 vessels should that be economically advantageous. In addition to the acquisition of the new vessel(s), Merseytravel is seeking to enter into long-term maintenance arrangements with the successful bidder, ideally to cover the entire design-life of the vessel(s). Whilst we have a good understanding or our final requirements, we are anxious to ensure that we use this procurement process to effectively engage with potential suppliers and embrace potential new technology and innovation to ensure the solution we procure is the best it can be.
