PLEASE NOTE THAT AT THIS STAGE WE ARE ONLY UNDERGOING A MARKET ENGAGEMENT AROUND THIS AS A MARKET TESTING EXERCISE. St Helens Council currently employs approximately 6000 employees, which includes staff employed within schools. The Human Resources section of the Council deals with a wide range of employee relations issues which include disciplinary, grievance, performance, redundancy, sickness, employment disputes, whistle-blowing and organisation development. A human resources tracking system is required to provide a secure and comprehensive system for processing employee relations casework. An effective system will increase productivity and eliminate duplication of effort. It will ensure a consistent approach to the management of cases and ensure that cases are managed in accordance with Council policies and procedures. The system will allow the monitoring of cases to ensure performance management is more effective. In addition the system should be able to produce standardised documentation using auto-populated templates which can be stored in the case record and also have the facility to report on case information. The Human Resources section currently has a bespoke tracking system that is no longer fit for purpose due to the limitations of the system and are therefore looking to purchase a case management system.
