Sunderland City Council and its partners the Football Association, Durham County Football Association Ltd, and The Foundation of Light have identified 3 sites in Sunderland for development into Football Hubs, as part of the Football Association, Sport England and The Premier League’s “Parklife” project. The project will support sustainable grassroots provision in the city with investment in strategic sites with Artificial Grass Pitches, grass pitches and ancillary facilities that can support extensive training and match play, as well as coaching, education and football development initiatives. The Council, procuring in partnership with the Sunderland Football Trust, is seeking to procure an operator to manage the football hub facilities. Construction of the hubs is not in scope of this opportunity.
