Tender description

The Western Distributor Road Phase 2 comprises a new single carriageway south west of Sligo Town commencing at the Ballydoogan Road (Phase 1) and terminating at the Caltragh Interchange, the scheme will improve access to the existing IDA Business Park at Finisklin and provide access to the new IDA Business Park at Oakfield and zoned land in the area. The Western Distributor Road Phase 2 construction contract will comprise of the following elements, 2 km single carriageway including central hatching for future right turn lanes, Verges with 2 m cycleway and 2 m footway on each side of the carriageway, 0,4 km link road to the proposed IDA Business Park at Oakfiled, Road bridge crossing the existing Dublin-Sligo railway line, 2 No. at-grade roundabout junctions at Oakfield, Realignment of the signalised junction at the Ballydoogan road, Priority staggered junctions and simple T-junctions, The provision of boundary walls, fencing and environmental barriers, the provision of ponds for drainage attenuation.
