Tender description
The contract is for the provision of radiology reporting services which must be able to support the business and clinical needs of this Trust. It covers specifically the requirement for Plain Film Reporting, which can be provided either on-site (as it is currently) or remotely. Bidders are required to submit a tender for either one or both of the options/lots below: — lot 1 — On-Site Plain Film Reporting, — lot 2 — Off-Site Plain Film Reporting. Further details of the Contracting Authority’s requirements under the contract and other relevant information are given in the Specification at Schedule 2. North Cumbria University Hospitals Trust (NCUH) is an acute Trust that provides a range of Radiological services including CT, MRI Ultrasound and plain film Radiographs in North Cumbria. These services are based at 2 main sites the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle (CIC) and the West Cumberland Hospital Whitehaven (WCH) and plain film services provided at four Community sites (Penrith Community Hospital, Mary Hewetson Cottage Hospital Keswick, Ruth Lancaster James Cottage Hospital, Alston and Workington Community Hospitals. North Cumbria University Hospitals trust serves a population of around 320 000 people. NCUH intends to award a Contract for Outsourced Radiology Reporting Services or On-Site Reporting services for an initial period of 3 years, with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years covering the following Lots: Lot 1 On-Site Plain Film Reporting.
