Tender description

North Lincolnshire Council is undertaking this preliminary market consultation to help it determine the availability of supported lodgings/supported accommodation for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) within the age range of 16 and 17 years and care leavers aged 18+. Due to the nature of conflicts and unrest in certain parts of the world a number of children are fleeing their country of origin to seek asylum and refuge in Europe. North Lincolnshire’s current cohort of unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee children/young people (UASC) are aged between 15 and 21 years old and as a result we are participating in a transfer scheme to relocate these children. There has been flexibilities made by the DFE regarding the types of accommodation for UASC aged 16/17 and this includes supported accommodation both with floating or wrap around support depending on the young person's needs. Therefore we are publishing a preliminary market consultation to help us identify appropriate housing solutions to offer supported accommodation opportunities to the older cohort of UASC and move on accommodation for UASC care leavers aged 18 years plus.
