Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) only: Publication and a call for competition will be conducted once the scope of work is fully defined and approved. Subject to funding approval, the UK's Department for International Development (DFID) will be seeking a supplier(s) to provide Programme Management for the SMEP programme, to provide administrative support and technical assistance services. DFID will appoint a Programme Management Agent (PMA) who will be directly accountable to DFID and will be in charge of contracting out the main programme research funding and operations. The PMA will also be responsible for the financial and fiduciary risk management for the whole programme and for undertaking other routine programme management tasks such as Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and communications. DFID will directly supervise the PMA in conjunction with UNCTAD who will support DFID in providing strategic leadership of the programme The programme duration will be 5 years. There may be option to extend for up to 12 months, and this will be specified in the contract notice when the scope of work is fully defined and approved.
