Tender description

East Renfrewshire Council will shortly be issuing tender documents as it seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake asbestos surveys, sampling, and analysis and clearance procedures on a reactive basis. The successful bidder will be expected to carry out its duties in both a domestic and non-domestic environment. The works to be undertaken by the successful contractor comprise asbestos surveying projects, including but not limited to, the asbestos management and refurbishment surveying, sampling, analysis and clearance procedure works for various East Renfrewshire Council Buildings for non-housing properties and housing stock in a multi-trade environment and a 24-hour 365 days emergency response service in accordance with the priority schedule detailed in the contract document to enable emergency work to be carried out in compliance with the Contract Conditions. Consequently the successful Contractor shall be expected to form part of a team, be adaptable, conscientious and be able to carry out instructions with the minimum supervision to allow the efficient completion of work orders.
