The Purchase of Tablets

Tender description

Housing & Care 21 are currently in the process of redeveloping their core business infrastructure, culminating in new Housing and Finance systems. As part of this redevelopment, a new, flexible method working is being rolled out enabling Court and Scheme Managers the opportunity to access a variety of documents, forms and policies through a tablet device. Following a period of market testing and an evaluation from a Court Manager focus group, it was decided that the tablet device to be used for this project would be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (full product specification can be located in the tender documentation). The main objective of this tender is to appoint a supplier to provide a pre-defined number of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 devices (as described in the pricing document) at the best possible price. The tablets must be 4G enabled to ensure constant data coverage is available should the Wi-Fi fail at any of Housing & Care 21's sites. Please note that Housing & Care 21 will not accept an alternative product for this project at this moment in time. Alternative devices may be considered at a later date, but these will be requested in a separate tender exercise if required.
