Tender description
This framework agreement is for the supply of textiles and associated products, this includes but is not limited to: — Uniforms and Workwear, — Flame retardant Curtains and Blinds, — Personal Protective Equipment, — Staff and Theatre Footwear, — Bedding, Linen and Towels, — Polythene Bedding and Protection, — Patient Wear, — Shrouds, — Miscellaneous Textiles, — Filled and Flat Bedding, — Disposable Foot and Eye Wear, — Specialist Pillows; and — Specialist Clothing. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of GBP 18 000 000 in the first year of this framework agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement. An estimated annual value over a 48 month term is GBP 85 000 000. This framework agreement is for 24 months with the option to extend incrementally for up to a total period of 48 months. For supply via Direct Supply Route, any form of clothing to be worn by any member of staff within any NHS ward or department including front of house, and includes but shall not be limited to: — Dresses, — Tunics, — Trousers, — Skirts, — Scrub Bottoms and Tops, — Shirts, — Polo Shirts, — Fleeces, — Ties, — Jackets, — Overalls, — Embroidery if required for any of the above items. For supply via Direct Supply Route, non-disposable flame retardant curtains and blinds including an estimating service, site reviews fitting and supply in any area as requested by an NHS customer usually at a window or cubicle and includes but shall not be limited to: • Curtains. • Blinds. For supply via Direct Supply Route, personal protective equipment with main areas of spend being the supply of clothing for employed NHS staff which has some form of protection including clothing or footwear and includes but shall not be limited to: • Hi-Visibility Clothing. • Trousers. • Protective Fleeces. • Work Trousers. • Ear Plugs. • Work Gloves. • Knee Pads. • Goggles. • Safety Work Shoes. • Coveralls. For supply via Direct Supply Route, a range of theatre and nursing staff footwear which provide a mixture of cleanliness/sterility, comfort and protection whilst within a healthcare environment and includes but shall not be limited to: • Clogs. • Wellington Boots. • Nursing and Theatre Shoes. For supply via Direct Supply Route, a range of bedding, linen and towels to be used by NHS staff within a healthcare environment and includes but shall not be limited to: • Duvets. • Pillows – Feather, Washable and Wipable. • Pillowcases. • Sheets. • Mattress Covers. • All sizes and types of Towelling including Tea Towels. For supply via Stock, Blue Diamond or eDirect routes, a range of flame retardant waterproof bedding and protectors that would be used within a healthcare environment and includes but shall not be limited to: • Pillow Protectors. • Mattress Protectors. • Drawsheets. For supply via Stock, Blue Diamond or eDirect routes, a range of products to be worn by a patient within a healthcare environment and includes but shall not be limited to: • Capes Disposable. • Gowns Disposable. • Briefs Disposable. • Shorts Disposable. • Bibs Disposable. For supply via Stock, Blue Diamond or eDirect routes, shrouds for deceased patient whilst within a healthcare environment and includes but shall not be limited to: • Cotton Shrouds. • Non-Woven Shrouds. • PVC Shrouds. For supply via Stock, Blue Diamond or eDirect routes, miscellaneous textile products used within a healthcare environment and includes but shall not be limited to: • Bath Mats. • Haberdashery in many forms, Pins, Tapes, Threads etc. • Non-Disposable Shower Curtains. For supply via Stock, Blue Diamond or eDirect routes, a range of bedding that has a feather, foam or polyester filling and is to be used within a healthcare environment and includes but shall not be limited to: • Duvets. • Pillows. • Disposable Pillowcases. • Disposable Bed sheet. For supply via Stock, Blue Diamond or eDirect routes, foot wear for patient use to assist in the prevention of slips/falls, also including eye wear which assists patient with sleep when within a healthcare environment and includes but shall not be limited to: • Slippers. • Slipper Socks. • Step Socks. • Tube Socks. • Eye Shades. For supply via Stock, Blue Diamond or eDirect routes, bedding that has a filling and are to be used within a healthcare environment, these items are of a specialist nature such as for the use with patients with flat head syndrome and duvets and pillows that are thermo-bonded providing a complete barrier against hospital infections and includes but shall not be limited to: • Specialist Duvets. • Specialist Pillows. For supply via Stock, Blue Diamond or eDirect routes, patient clothing when within a healthcare environment, these items are for patients who have hip dysplasia plus clothing that allows for clinicians to have easy access to patients for assessment whilst also providing dignity and includes but shall not be limited to: • Sleep Suits. • Trousers. • Gowns. • Bottoms. • Tops.
