Technical inspection services

Tender description

This Prior Information Notice is being published by the Road Safety Authority (RSA) for the purposes of informing potential service providers of the upcoming public competition for the provision of Technical Inspection Services (TIS) for Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Testing (CVRT) and the National Car Testing Service (NCTS). Current contractual arrangements are due to expire in 12.2018 and the tender process will seek to appoint a single national service provider to deliver these services. Prior to the anticipated issue of a contract notice the RSA would like to hear from interested parties to take part in a market sounding exercise during which it would meet with interested parties in order to discuss this competition and obtain feedback/market knowledge that may inform the RSA in further refining its requirements in relation to the proposed TIS contract.
