Tender description

This is early notification that Kent County Council is considering going out to market within the next 6 months to award a contract for a managed service for the completion of a volume of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) assessments, using trained and qualified Best Interest Assessors. Following the 2014 “Cheshire West” Supreme Court judgement, Kent County Council has been managing an increasing number of DOLS applications and a high number of related assessments. These have been screened and all high priority applications completed; however, the Council now has a significant backlog of lower priority DOLS applications, which require assessments and eventual DOLS outcome determination. If your organisation is interested in providing this service for the Kent County Council, please express an interest in this opportunity before the published deadline. Expressions of interest will only be accepted via the Kent Business Portal.
