Tender description

The Council have recently reviewed how we procure our external contracts for road related works and services and we are currently developing a new strategy which sets out a different approach to this, which ensures we have consistent, open and transparent processes which comply with the relevant procurement regulations. We are currently considering setting up a framework agreement for the following road related works and services: — Plant and operator (excluding plant only, this shall be procured through existing Scotland Excel framework agreements), — Roads and footpath resurfacing and surfacing, — Patching and pothole repairs, — Traffic management, — Specialist surface treatments. Separate to this we will be inviting tender to renew our measured term contract for the removal, supply and laying of road marking materials, road studs and high friction surfacing systems. This lot will include a range of roads construction, surfacing and resurfacing works to roads and footpaths throughout Dumfries and Galloway, including trunk roads. Temporary and permanent repairs to roads and footpaths throughout Dumfries and Galloway, including trunk roads through patching and pothole repair works. The provision of temporary traffic management arrangement to control and diver traffic around a work area. This lot is for the provision of plant and operator only for roads maintenance. Supply and application of specialist surface treatments to carriageways to preserve and extend the life of the road network throughout Dumfries and Galloway, including trunk roads.
