Responsible Officer Training

Tender description

The Authority wishes to engage the services of a suitably qualified partner in order to provide proper support for implementation of the Medical Profession (Responsible Officers) Regulations 2010 and 2013 (MPRO). The aim is that trainees are left knowing how to ensure that the organisations they work for and with can comply with the statute. Delegates will come from approximately 700 organisations that employ doctors in England, both within the NHS and the private sector. Section 13M of the National Health Services Act 2006 places a statutory responsibility on NHS England to have regard to the need to promote education and training for those persons who are employed in providing health services in England. The training provider will develop the training materials and course content in partnership with NHS England but orders and payment under this contract will come directly from the delegate organisations.
