Tender description

Multidisciplinary rehabilitation service for patients that are social health insured and need various kind of rehabilitation for extended period of time. The rehabilitation therapy shall be both for in- and outpatients based on therapy plan for each patient. Practitioners and operators are obliged to have appropriate licenses and insurance according to Icelandic laws and regulations. The service shall be provided in the Reykjavik area. Icelandic Health Insurance (Sjúkratryggingar Íslands) intend to make agreements with service operators, one or more for each category of rehabilitation. Rehabililtation service is divided into following categories: — cognitve rehabilitation, — rheumatic diseases rehabilitation, — cardiac rehabilitation, — neurorehabilitation, — pulmonary rehabilitation, — obesity treatment rehabilitation, — pain management rehabilitation, — geriatric rehabilitation. Practitioners and operators are obliged to: 1) have confirmation from The Medical Director of Health whether the prospective operation of a health service meets professional standards and other conditions of health legislation, 2) have appropriate insurances according to Icelandic laws and regulations, 3) have appropriate permissions and facilities to fulfil requirements in Icelandic laws and regulations on health care practice, 4) all health care service shall be provided by health care professionals who have license to practice as such by Icelandic laws and regulations. The service shall be provided in Icelandic (Icelandic knowledge and skills have to be at minimum level B2 at the European language levels (CEFR)). 5) The service operator shall have at least five years experience as Health care provider.
