Tender description

APHA require the provision of Wild Bird Found Dead Collection Services in England, Wales and Scotland. Surveillance for AI viruses in wild birds is carried out in all European Member States. The aim is the timely detection of HPAI viruses in wild birds in order to protect domestic poultry. This is due to evidence that suggests that wild birds potentially play a role in the spread of HPAI viruses to domestic poultry.
