It is proposed to seek a development partner through which to align planning services to ensure cost reduction through efficiencies and also revenue increase through both enhanced local service and also the opportunity to undertake planning applications and building control work for other authorities. This is not to be seen as outsourcing with an alignment of working with and / or joint venture being the preferred route. It is proposed to take this opportunity to market through the correct procurement route and utilise existing frameworks where appropriate to ensure that the process is both assured and timely.
