Tender description

At an EU level, as the only Less Developed Region in England, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has benefited hugely from European funds. Under the 2014-2020 ESIF programmes, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly will receive 603.7m EUR of ERDF and ESF and £9.4m of EAFRD directly allocated through the England Growth Programme. Despite voting to leave the European Union, all structural and investment fund projects, including Agri-environment schemes, will be fully funded, even when these projects continue beyond the UK's departure in 2019 up to 2023. In light of this, it is necessary for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to have a presence in Brussels. Additionally we wish to maintain Cornwall's involvement in EU co-operation programmes such as Horizon 2020 and Interreg both before and after Brexit.
