Tender description

The contract was awarded to SDK Environmental Ltd. The contract is for three years with possible extention clauses for a further 3 years. The Contracts starts on 1.2.18. The contract is for the collection of stray dogs and their kennelling pursuant to the Council’s statutory obligations. The contractor will collect roaming and confined stray dogs and either return them directly to their owners without charge or if after kennelling on payment of charges, which the contractor will collect, or on the expiration of the statutory period gift them to suitable organisations for re-homing. Where necessary the contractor will arrange for dogs to receive veterinary attention and will liaise with police or other agencies in respect of dogs identified as being of a prescribed breed.
