Tender description

Wealden District Council (lead authority) in partnership with Eastbourne, Hastings, Lewes, Rother and Mid Sussex councils are seeking to award 2 contracts each for a period of three years with an option to extend for 2 x 12 month for provision of Council Tax Discount and Exemption reviews. This opportunity is split into 2 lots. Lot1 Single Person Discount Review, Lot2 Empty homes review and new homes bonus review. Suppliers may apply for one or both of the Lots and have the opportunity to provide additional services for each Lot for example but not restricted to Student Exemptions review, 2nd homes Review, Council Tax Reduction scheme. Provision of Single Person Discount Review to establish discounts and exemptions are applied correctly and identify ineligible households. Provision of a series of reviews to help maximise Empty Homes and New Homes Bonus by helping to reduce the number of properties that are empty for more than 6 months.
