Architect Led Design Team for the renovation and restructuring of the Tholsel Building (City Hall) on High Street, Kilkenny. The building has played a very prominent administrative role in the development of Kilkenny for centuries. It is now proposed to renovate and restructure the building to modern standards, ensuring that the building can continue to play an important role in the functioning of the City. The building is a protected structure, is located within the City Centre Architectural Conservation Area (ACA) and within the Zone of Notification of Recorded Monuments for Kilkenny City, an area rich in archaeological heritage. The building is listed in the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage as being of National Importance. The building is currently used to house offices for Kilkenny County Council (formerly Kilkenny Borough Council).
