Tender description

The Department of Materials Science & Engineering at The University of Sheffield would like to entertain bids on laboratory scale Reversing Hot Rolling Mill with the capacity to cool the as-rolled metal to room temperature using a run-out cooling table. The rolling mill should be able to cope with feedstock metal (specifically steels or Ni-based alloys) at temperatures as high as 1300C and a maximum starting thickness of 80 mm. It should also have a mill separating force capacity of at least 130 metric tonnes.
