Tender description
Cheshire and Merseyside mental health providers are a part of a new care model programme for low and medium secure mental health services. Collectively they have come together to form the PROSPECT Partnership, comprising of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and two independent sector providers, Elysium Healthcare and Cygnet Healthcare. The partnership is based on a shared philosophy of improving the experience of care and life prospects for people who require secure services. To this end the Partnership has been working towards the development of an Enhanced Community Forensic Service that provides wrap around support for adults (18+) people when discharged into the community from an inpatient setting. Integral to that model is the provision of robust community supported living service/s that are able to robustly respond to the needs of the individual, providing a comprehensive range of support interventions within the community setting. PROSPECT has been working with local authority and CCG commissioning colleagues across Cheshire and Merseyside to consider what community supported living services for people leaving discharged from forensic inpatient services should offer and how they should operate. Liverpool City Council are coordinating initial early market engagement and consultation on behalf of the Prospect Partnership. The purpose of this initial soft market testing exercise is to inform the market of our current thinking around the development of a specialist supported living service and to give an opportunity for providers (both those operating in the region currently and those who may be interested in developing new services) to provide feedback.
