Shropshire Council is seeking a service provider for the provision of overnight short breaks for disabled children (0-18) in Shropshire Shropshire Council is seeking a service provider for the provision of overnight short breaks for disabled children (0-18) in Shropshire: Overnight care shall be available 365 days a year. The service provider shall provide 2920 residential nights, including day care in school holidays. The contract shall commence on 19.5.2019 for an initial period of 2 years, 10,5 months with the option to extend for a further period of up to 3 years. The maximum funds per year that bidders can apply for is 939 500 GBP. Applicants should note that it is considered that the Employee “Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations” 2006 (“TUPE”) may apply to this contract. Applicants are advised to seek their own legal advice about the practicality of these regulations.
