At United Utilities (referred to as UU), it is our commitment to supply great water to homes and businesses, removing and treating wastewater behind the scenes. We are developing our infrastructure in response to climate, population and lifestyle changes so we can deliver a service customers can rely on now and in the future. The United Utilities Operational Technology (OT) department has a clear role in support of the United Utilities vision and the commitment to its customers, that is to “ensure that infrastructure is in place to automate, monitor and remote control our field assets in line with operational requirements”. The purpose of this PIN is to understand the current market place and the delivery routes available to support the Supply and Delivery of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems within the Operational Technology (OT) department. The requirement is to supply a range of site based Operational Technology hardware and software supported by a supervisory control and data acquisition platform which is a stand alone system in terms of IT, to support the United Utilities Wholesale business. Supply of goods shall be via UU Internal teams and UU framework systems integrators working for UU capital and maintenance delivery partners or by the construction partners themselves. The suppliers will be able to show their interest and competencies on the specific areas within the PIN Response sheet. — Local Automation PLC/HMI Hardware and Software, — OT SCADA Software — Supervisory Control Software, — OT Systems SCADA Hardware — Servers and PLC’s, — Fieldbus Equipment — OT Networking LAN/WAN, — OT Cloud based services — Industrial Edge and IIOT Management Platform. The framework will include: — pre and post sales application support, — technical support, — training for United Utilities and partners, — all required engineering software licences shall be included to allow United Utilities to maintain the systems as part of the full lifecycle, — supply of hardware and software as part of United Utilities Industrial Control Systems shall be compliant with BS EN 62443 Standard for Cyber Security and represent best practice with regards to the NIS Directive, — associated spares, — field services. Legacy Migration shall also be a requirement of any new provider. Assisting with support of migrating manufacturer unsupported KIT. Adding value in assisting united utilities in migrating Kit from old to new framework, providing training/working smarter.
