Tender description

Network Rail (NR) is in the process of developing a procurement strategy for the development, design, construction and commissioning of the Crewe Hub Project to accommodate the planned increase in passenger and freight growth at this key interchange on the national rail network. The scope is not yet final but it is expected to predominantly include survey, site investigation, development, design, construction and commissioning of railway control systems, train power systems, electrical power and plant, permanent way, operational telecommunication systems, building and property and civil engineering works. To provide further information to inform the procurement strategy a contractor event has been scheduled for 10.1.2019 in Crewe (location and exact timing of the event to be advised to those contractors who respond to this notice). Briefing documents be made available to attendees via the BravoNR system prior to the event. The purpose of the event is to discuss the project and the current procurement strategy options under consideration to enable supply chain feedback to be incorporated into the strategy. Should you be interested in attending the event please express your interest by emailing names, roles and contact details to the abovementioned contact point by no later than 28.12.2018. Attendance will be limited to 2 representatives per contactor. All presentation material from the event will be made available on BravoNR following the event. This notice is not a call for competition. Contractors expressing interest in attending the event should note that it would be necessary to respond separately to any contract notice in due course. 1 000 000 000 GBP is the current estimated value of the contract. Due to the way enhancements schemes are developed and designed, the value of the project may alter. Therefore the total value of the contract is subject to change and is likely to be within the range of 1 000 000 000 GBP – 2 000 000 000 GBP.
