Provision of Staff to Operate Leicester City Council CCTV Centre

Leicester City Council operates a corporate Central Monitoring Control Room. This includes public space CCTV monitoring, Preferred Pedestrian Zones (PPZ), Concierge and alarm monitoring. The control room is continuously staffed on a 24/7 basis. The Council is inviting a response to the ITT from Tenderers on the terms set out in the ITT for a single contractor for the supply of Staff to Operate Leicester City Council CCTV Centre, on a non-exclusive basis as called off additional functionality that maybe required. This contract is for the provision of a managed service and staffing to the Control Room based in Leicester and is City Council owned and the Contractor’s staff will need to deal with densely populated, busy street scenes and in many cases, in conjunction with the Police, retailers and street wardens. Staff require a comprehensive knowledge of the monitored areas and carry out their duties with diligence and professionalism and at all times in compliance the legal requirements within this service. The Contractor must be accredited under the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Contractor Status (ACS) for the delivery of CCTV and Manned Guarding services.
