Tender description

Public Health England wishes to appoint a contractor to design, procure, construct and commission a roof mounted solar photovoltaic installation, on the roof area of A and G Blocks at CRCE Chilton, Didcot, Oxon OX11 0RQ. The core scope is to design, procure, construct and commission a roof mounted solar photovoltaic installation, efficiently utilising the roof areas of Block G and A of the Chilton site. The contractor shall ensure the adequacy of the PV system installation on the proposed roof. The PV installation is to be connected to the sites existing electrical system via the local Low Voltage distribution network. The system should be a minimum of 35 kWp with appropriately sized inverters (or centralised inverter) and transformer to provide optimum efficiency and return on investment. The works must be completed in a timely manner. The PV array is expected to fall within the limits of "Permitted Development". The contractor shall ensure that this is the case and obtain any necessary approvals as appropriate. The timetable for this tender is as follows: Expressions of Interest for arranging a site visit closes: 2pm 28th September 2018 Site Visit will be:2nd October 2018. Clarifications questions to be submitted by 2pm on 8th October 2018. Tender submissions must be delivered via Bravo by 2pm on the 19th October 2018. SITE VISITS Please note: Site visits are a mandatory part of the tender process and tenders submitted without site visits being conducted will not be considered.
