M&EA Village Renewal Project – Phase 3

Tender description

The works comprise external works at four villages in the Larne area, Gleno, Glynn, Millbrook and Whitehead. At Gleno, a small community garden is to be constructed on a brown field site. Here the works includes site clearance, earthworks, hard surfacing granite setts and paving), mild steel fencing and railings, street furniture provision and tree and shrub planting works. At Glynn, a small car park to service the Village Hall is to be constructed. Here the works includes: site clearance, earthworks, kerbing, drainage, wall and pillar construction, hard surfacing including stone mastic asphalt surfacing, fencing, tree and shrub planting and grassing works. At Millbrook, the project is the construction of community allotments. Here the works includes the excavation and removal of a section of an existing boundary embankment, kerbing, timber fencing, drainage, in situ concrete surfacing, importation and spreading of prime quality topsoil and planting works. At Whitehead, environmental improvement works are planned for the Coastal Park along the Promenade. Here the works includes resin-bonded surfacing, kerbing, hard detailing, street furniture provision, stainless steel road studs, thermoplastic line marking and grassing works.
