Tender description

The Contract is for the provision of Handyperson and minor adaptations service to Durham County Council. This Contract will be available for use by Durham County Council on its own behalf and on behalf of other contracting authorities including North Durham Clinical Commissioning Group and Durham Dales Easington and Sedgefield CCG. There are 4 different elements to the service which includes: — handyperson service, — minor adaptations service for adults, children and young people, — telecare equipment installations, — guidance, signposting and home safety checks. The initial duration of the contract is 2 years subject to the right of the Council (at its sole discretion) to exercise its option to extend for a term or terms to be determined by the Council (at its sole discretion) but for an additional overall term of no greater than a further 4 years from the actual end date. The maximum length of the contract is therefore 6 years. This procurement is issued under an open tender process in line with Public Contracts Regulation 2015.
