Tender description

1) Flying Start is the Welsh Government’s early years’ programme working with families with children under 4 years living in the most deprived areas; 2) Flying Start Lower Super Output Areas (LSOA’s) are based on information provided by DWP and HMRC showing the highest portion of children living in houses where families receive income benefits. It is not based on wards. LSOA’s can cross more than one ward; 3) Cardiff is the largest programme in Wales; 4) The focus is to improve life chances through delivery of 4 core elements; (i) Quality part-time childcare for all 2-3 year-old in flying start areas; (ii) Enhanced Health Visiting; (iii) Parenting programmes/support; (iv) Early language development; 5) This contract is for high quality part-time childcare for 2-3 year-old as per the Welsh Government Guidance; 6) The service provider will support children in meeting/exceeding key milestones and in early identification/support with additional needs. 56 Places at Mount Stuart Primary School. 40 Childcare places at Holy Family Primary School 64 Childcare Places at Bryn Celyn Primary School site, providing childcare places in both English and Welsh. 36 Childcare places at Adamsdown Play Centre 32 Childcare places at the Powerhouse Hub Site 28 Childcare places at the St Mellons Hub Site. 16 Places at St John Lloyd Primary School 56 Places at Riverside Play Centre
