Tender description

Grant of 125 year lease to Bradford Live following competitive selection procedure to enable it to redevelop the building. An open competitive selection process was undertaken by the council in 2014 to identify and appraise suitable regeneration proposals which would be carried out under a land disposal. 2 proposals were received, and following an objective assessment process the Bradford live proposal was accepted. Bradford live was then appointed as the proposed lessee in 2015. This procedure was undertaken on the basis that the eventual disposal of the property to the proposed regeneration partner would be a land transaction and not a contract for works. Negotiations concerning the terms of the lease and the agreement for lease were undertaken between 2015 and the present. The council now proposes to enter into the agreement for lease with Bradford live.
