Tender description

Public Health is seeking to procure point of care testing equipment for all commissioned Northamptonshire providers of NHS Health Checks (on the Council’s Health Checks DPS) with a view to providing greater accessibility and uptake of the health check programme. The POCT service will be an intrinsic part of the delivery of the NHS Health Checks programme commissioned by Northamptonshire County Council. For the purpose of this specification and contract, point of care equipment is taken to include test machines and reagents for cholesterol and HbA1c and all other associated material. The service will be required from 1.4.2019 for an initial period of 2 years (up to 31.3.2021) with an option to extend for a further 1 year, taking the total contract term to a max of 3 years. Any extension will be agreed between the Council and the Provider(s). The deadline for completed ITTs to be received on the LGSS eTendering Portal is 12:00 noon on 7.1.2019. This process is being run as an open process, for a multi-Framework to be set up. Northamptonshire County Council intends to procure and a Point of Care Testing service across all of its commissioned NHS Health Check providers (that are on the Council’s DPS). The award of the contract will be for an initial 2 years with the option to extend for another 1 year. The contract will include: — provision of POCT equipment, — supply of reagents, — quality assurance, — Training, — safety, — maintenance, — data management.
