Tender description

Nephin Whiskey Company is in the process of constructing a distillery in Lahardane, Co. Mayo, (Ireland). Single malt whiskey will be produced using locally source water and barley. The barley will be malted on site and peated using turf from the surrounding area. Space is limited on site and one building on site has being designated for the installation of a highly automated malting plant. The malting plant required will operate on a 7 day cycle producing 5 tones of malted barley per week at moisture level of 5 % and be capable of delivering a phenol content of 150 ppm.
