Merlin Housing Society Ltd merged with Bromford Housing Group (Bromford) in July 2018 and is now trading under the Bromford Housing name. The Bromford Housing Group will be delivering one of the largest housing association-led new homes programmes throughout the South-West and Midlands. Bromford Housing Group (including its current and future subsidiaries, together “Bromford”) is currently developing its procurement strategy to appoint contractors and developers to deliver its land led programme over the coming years with a focus of delivery in the South West. Bromford is seeking to work collaboratively with its partners, where there is an ingrained understanding of Bromford’s business, mutual objectives, shared risk and reward and continuous close working. Potential partners are invited to participate in an engagement event, focussing on getting to know Bromford, its vision and objectives. This will feed into Bromford’s proposals to procure a framework of construction and development Bromford is a leading provider of affordable housing and specialist housing support services, recognised for demonstrating industry-leading financial strength and customer satisfaction. In a world where every penny counts, Bromford works hard to provide high-quality affordable homes, achieve significant value for money, provide strong social value and launch and maintain innovative and efficient services. In January 2019, Bromford is set to expand further with the addition of Severn Vale Housing to its Group. This will create an even stronger organisation and will increase the number of homes Bromford owns in central and South Western England to almost 44 000, including 12 000 in Gloucestershire. Over the next ten years, Bromford will be aiming to grow this through an ambitious development programme that will invest 1.5bn GBP to build 15 000 new homes, with around half of these planned for Gloucestershire. The Bromford Group covers a wide geographical area, predominately Central England and the South West, which includes the West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire, South Gloucestershire, Cirencester, the Cotswolds, Northamptonshire, and Buckinghamshire.. To support its ambitious plans for predominantly the South West of its region, Bromford is seeking to procure a framework of partners to deliver the core affordable housing developments. Bromford would also like to work with partners in securing new development opportunities. Bromford aims to select partners that align with its values and aspirations. To inform its strategy, Bromford is hosting a briefing event to allow potential partners to learn more about Bromford, its vision and objectives and to discuss current proposals for the framework. We would like to engage in discussions regarding incentivisation and sharing of risk among other areas.
