Tender description

The Contract will involve the successful bidder providing a bin collection service over a 3 year period from the commencement date. The commencement date of the bin collection service is envisaged to be Monday 4.2.2019. The Contract may be extended by 1 additional year by written instruction from Williamsburgh Housing Association not later than 33 months from the commencement date. The successful bidder will provide the bin collection service in accordance with Williamsburgh Housing Association’s specification described within Tender Document 5. A weekly bin collection service will be provided by the Contractor and Bidders are advised that household waste bins (grey bins) and recycling bins (blue bins) are each currently collected by Renfrewshire Council at fortnightly intervals i.e. grey bins are collected 26 times per annum. Williamsburgh Housing Association are seeking to establish a Contract for the provision of a bin collection and cleaning services with a suitably experienced and qualified provider. The Contract is anticipated to commence on Monday 4.2.2019 and will operate for a maximum of 3 years (with the option for an extension of 1 further year) subject to satisfactory performance of the successful Bidder which will be measured through key performance indicators. The Contract will primarily be delivered in Paisley, Renfrew and Johnstone, Renfrewshire but may also include services to properties in other towns and villages throughout Renfrewshire. The anticipated Contract Value is 40 000 GBP per annum (excluding VAT), however provision has been made within the Contract Value for new housing developments that may be completed during the Contract period and changes to Renfrewshire Council's bin collection requirements. Interested parties are advised that a “Meet the Buyer” event shall be held at the offices of Williamsburgh Housing Association, Paisley, at 14:00 GMT on Wednesday 28.11.2018. The event is free of charge and shall provide further information through an overview of Williamsburgh Housing Association's requirements and how to complete the Tender Documentation. The event will also provide an opportunity for interested parties to ask questions of the buyer face-to-face. The question and answer session will be recorded and will be made available as “additional information” through the Public Contracts Scotland portal during the tender period. Places are limited and interested parties are restricted to a maximum of 2 delegates from their organisation. In the event of over-subscription we may restrict attendance to a single delegate per organisation.
