Tender description

PIN – Meadows Police Station & Tunstall Drive Nottingham City Homes (NCH) is an Arms’ Length Management Organisation (ALMO) created in 2005 by Nottingham City Council to manage its housing stock of 28,000 rented homes and over 1,000 leasehold properties. This includes approximately 18,000 houses and bungalows, 2,000 high rise flats and almost 8,000 low rise flats (including independent living accommodation for older people). Nottingham City Homes will deliver two developments with a total of 38 new homes within Nottingham, compromising over the following sites: Meadows Police Station, 21 Market Rent Apartments – The Meadows Police Station is located on Saffron Gardens, next to the former development project of 55 new homes in the Meadows, completed by NCH in 2017. The redevelopment of the former police station will continue the regeneration of the estate as a whole and will further support the introduction of mixed tenure communities. This will be NCH’s first market rent new build scheme, delivering 21 new apartments to rent privately to Nottingham people. Currently, the police station is still standing. Demolition and site clearance could be included as part of the contract with the successful tenderer. Tunstall Drive – Tunstall Drive is located in the Heathfield ward, which is positioned within a residential housing estate, delivering 17 new homes for Nottingham residents and contributing to the regeneration of communities in the city. The site is clear, with no former use, other than a small playing field/dog walking area for families and children. Located to the north of the site is a woodland area which enhances the concept of our design. Planning applications for both sites have been submitted, with anticipated decision dates at the end of October 2018, with proposed start on site dates of April 2019. Our vision is to create homes and place where people want to live. We are committed to building new homes of great quality, so as to create sustainable homes and communities. We want our developments to stand the test of time, and provide homes of outstanding standards to the people who live in them. We are looking for a developer who shares this vision, and who wants to work with us to make it a reality. Keywords: Demolition, Construction, Site Clearance, Development, Build, New Homes
