Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice only. The full related tender exercises will be advertised separately. The programme will deliver services in the following target countries as a minimum: Ghana, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Nepal, Bangladesh CIG wave 2 aims to: improve urban development and productivity; boost access to reliable and affordable power; increase investment into infrastructure services, particularly where it directly supports growth; and drive better asset and financial management. The programme will deliver demand-driven technical assistance to government Ministries, Departments and Agencies at the national and sub-national level. It is also possible that support could be directed towards private sector or non-governmental actors. The programme should deliver inclusive economic transformation and growth that is climate resilient and contributes to poverty reduction and economic inclusion of disadvantaged groups. The procurement will be divided into 3 multi-country/regional tenders. Each tender publication will be staggered to be at least 1 month apart. Tender 1 – West Africa This will deliver CIG objectives in Ghana and Sierra Leone, with potential additional countries in the region to be determined at a later date. Tender 2 – East and Southern Africa This will deliver CIG objectives in Rwanda, with potential addition of Ethiopia and Tanzania and further countries in the region to be determined at a later date. Tender 3 – South and South East Asia This will deliver CIG objectives in Nepal, with potential addition of Bangladesh and further countries in the region to be determined at a later date. The supplier under each respective contract will be responsible for identification, management and delivery of the technical assistance, to strengthen management of urban, energy and investment, and to help build an investable pipeline of projects.
