Tender description

Essex Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Fire and Rescue Authority (the Authority) are approaching the market to engage with firefighting foam vendors ahead of the release of a tender. The purpose of this PIN is to advise the market of the upcoming procurement procedure to award a Framework Agreement during 2019 and to engage with the marketplace prior to publishing a Contract Notice. The Authority are looking for feedback from vendors and/or other independent experts to ascertain whether what we are asking of the market is achievable, realistic and understood. The feedback may be used in the planning and conduct of the procurement procedure, provided that it does not have the effect of distorting competition. Vendors wishing to view the documents are asked to contact tenders@essex-fire.gov.uk to request access to the documentation which will be available free of charge on the Delta e-Sourcing website. The Authority are looking at dividing the tender into 10 lots based on the risk classification; the full list is available within the draft ITT documentation which is available upon request.
