Summary of the work • To be a single point of contact for all participating trusts within the Kent & Medway Cancer Alliance from IT implementation perspective. • To support the implementation of the Infoflex System in delivery of the Recovery Package and Stratified pathways Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 4 months Latest start date Monday 5 November 2018 Who Speclialist Work With Based within a IT Project Teams This will include working with the cancer teams to ensure that the IT functionality is in place for the implementation of the relevant elements of the Recovery Package (Holistic Needs Assessment, Treatment Summaries & Cancer Care Reviews) The post holder will also be responsible for system implementation that will support teams in the design of stratified pathways and changing how patients are followed up. What Specialists Work On The successful candidate will support the Implementation of the Infoflex System in line with the Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance delivery plan. This will involve working with the East Kent CCGs, Macmillan GPS, Cancer Alliance stakeholders and the other acute hospitals in Kent & Medway to deliver the IT element of the programme. The successful candidate will implement the IT function that will support the delivery of the Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance objectives. The post holder will also be responsible for system implementation that will support teams in design of stratified pathways and changing how patients are followed up. Skills & Experience • Extensive experience of working in a project environment • Extensive experience of work with different project management methodologies • Experience of training staff • Experience of using high level IT functionality • Facilitating and implementing clinical service improvement through the delivery of IT systems. • Proven track record of working as part of a team. • Experience of working under pressure particularly with end-users at all levels of seniority. • Experience of considering problems and issues from a clinician and end-user perspective and to adapt processes for the application • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. • Proven ability to think and act fast, and deliver pragmatic and effective solutions. • Evidence of an excellent customer services approach to service delivery. • Highly developed analytical skills and attention to detail. • Able to produce accurate and timely information reports using statistical techniques where appropriate and provide verbal/written analysis and commentary. • Ability to exercise and manage own work effectively, independently and pragmatically to achieve and prioritise objectives, deadlines and solutions despite obstacles, working within the demands of the user environment • Ability to take a flexible and versatile approach to problem solving • Well-developed interpersonal skills • Well-developed Influencing and negotiating skills including key stakeholder engagement skills Nice to Haves • Knowledge of NHS Cancer system and business requirements of differing Trusts and NHS organisations in Kent and Medway • Knowledge of or experience within the Kent & Medway Cancer Alliance • Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies applicable to health and clinical practice. • Experience of contributing to developing and managing training programmes. • Experience of routine, ad- hoc statistical and statutory reporting along with interpretation of results Work Location Based in Folkestone but will involve travel all around Kent and Medway. No DBS, but usual reference checks will apply 4. Day rate section has been left blank, are you expecting suppliers to drive this based on strength of candidate? See answer to question 2 already published. 5. Is there a possibility of the 4 month period being extended if need be? Possibly but not guaranteed. 6. Please can you confirm if there is currently an incumbent in the role? No there isn't. 7. Please can you confirm the budget limit for this position? Not at liberty to divulge this. 8. Please can you confirm if this role is inside/outside IR35? Already answered - question 1 9. In the spec you mentioned 3 days per week but 5 being acceptable, does this mean that you will accept a specialist working remotely for 2 days per week? No working remotely. 3 days a week means only working three days a week, with two Non-working days. If we can't get that then we'll consider people who only want to do 5 days. 10. As this role involves travel to other locations is a T&S budget available or should this be taken into account within the day rate. Successful candidate will be based at the specified location and will be able to claim travel expenses for travel from there to other sites. No subsistence paid. 11. Experience of using high level IT functionality? Proven experience of utilising functions within tools that are commonly used within project delivery environments.
