CADAVER TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE ON BEHALF OF HM CORONER

Tender description

Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council (‘The Councils’) established a select list of providers for the removal, transportation and storage of cadavers on behalf of the HM Coroners in April 2016. Providers appointed to the list between them provide full geographical coverage across the County and City. The select list was proposed to be in place for an initial period of 2 years up to 31st March 2018, with options to extend for up to a further 2 years taking the contract term to a maximum of 4 years, to 31st March 2020. The select list from 2018 onwards, is subject to an annual review by the Council, allowing for the list to be re-opened in order to ensure that it continues to meet with demand and remains fit for purpose. The Councils are inviting providers to tender at this refresh to be included on the select list for a period of 12 months, from 1st April 2019 until 31st March 2020. The estimated total value of the approved list is £128,000 per annum. Tenderers should note that this value is an estimate and is not a guarantee of future volumes or values of business.
