Tender description
Scheduling and listing are judicial functions essential to the day to day running of Courts and Tribunals. Listing is the act of finding times and dates for judicial hearings to take place, based on the available scheduled resources.. The project aims to deliver a single system that can be deployed across these jurisdictions and a variety of business models within HMCTS. The project aims to make the processes of S&L more effective and efficient and increase the utilisation of our estate by providing the judiciary and staff with greater visibility of capacity and demand across sites, and through the automation of routine administrative tasks. To help achieve this objective, HMCTS is issuing this PIN and is engaging the market to understand what potential tools and solutions are currently available. The results of this initial engagement will inform the project’s next steps, which could, but are not guaranteed to, include completing a more comprehensive tendering exercise. HMCTS will be hosting a Market Engagement Event at its premises to share more information about its requirements. Purpose of the event is both to share information about our requirements, as well as to gain a greater understanding about the options available in the market. Our intention is that this engagement will lead to greater knowledge of the category and will help to inform our “build or buy” decision. Market engagement event and registration: The HMCTS Scheduling and Listing project is planning to hold a market engagement event with the aim of bringing together and engaging with potential providers of the service. The event will consist of a morning roundtable briefing and discussion with all attendees, which is expected to last between 1 to 2 hours. Interested suppliers should respond by 17:00 on Thursday 15.11.2018. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis as space will be restricted. Attendance will be limited to two (2) attendees from each organisation. In the case that demand for attendance and for one-to-one meetings exceeds availability, the event may be expanded or repeated across additional days. Suppliers interested in participating in the event and accompanying RFI exercise are required to complete the following actions: 1) Register an account through the MoJ (Ministry of Justice) Sourcing Portal at https://ministryofjusticecommercial.bravosolution.co.uk 2) Confirm their interest by email to Mathew Strowbridge (Mathew.strowbridge@justice.gov.uk), including the following information: (a) details of their MoJ Sourcing Portal account; (b) whether they wish to attend the market engagement event. Please CC the following email address: HMCTSchangeportfoliocommissioning@justice.gov.uk An Information pack will be shared with suppliers who express an interest in participating. Transparency: The Crown Commercial Services requires that tender documentation issued by government departments for contracts exceeding 10 000 GBP over the life of contract are published online at https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder for the general public. In the event a contract is awarded following a more comprehensive tendering exercise, the will be published on this website, subject to the statutory grounds for redaction as set out in the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please refer to the Act for further details. Nothing in this OJEU Prior Information Notice shall generate any contractual obligations prior to the signature of agreement contract following completion of the tender process. The Ministry of Justice reserves the right to reject all or any of the bids for the competition and not to appoint any potential provider, without any liability on its part.
